01 · Background
A Montréal academy goalkeeper with a continent of experience
Born in Greenfield Park and raised in Candiac, Crépeau entered Montréal’s academy and became one of the club’s early homegrown signings. A 2018 loan with Ottawa Fury produced a league Goalkeeper of the Year award and opened the door to starting roles in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Portland. He won MLS Cup with LAFC in 2022 despite suffering a serious leg injury late in the final, then rebuilt his career again. Orlando City signed him in 2026.
02 · How he plays
Alert, vocal and willing to own the moment
Crépeau is an active goalkeeper. He sets the line with constant communication, reacts quickly at close range and is prepared to leave his goal when a through ball demands it. Orlando highlighted his composure, leadership and championship experience when signing him. His best matches tend to have a visible rhythm: early information to defenders, decisive starting positions and strong reactions when the first defensive action fails.
03 · Canada role
Experience behind an aggressive team
Canada’s willingness to press can leave the goalkeeper responsible for space as well as shots. Crépeau’s readiness to sweep behind the back line fits that approach. He also brings tournament experience, including a standout 2024 Copa América in which Canada reached the semifinals.
